WILTSHIRE |
The Council
will vote to issue subpoenas at tonight’s special meeting but it doesn’t give
who it wants to subpoena.
The names will
come at a meeting where the Council will address “a subsequent ordinance, specifically
identifying and approving the individual or entity to be subpoenas and
directing the appearance at subsequent public hearing to provide testimony and
documents related to the questions and activities referenced in this ordinance.”
That’s according to the ordinance the Council will address tonight (which can be seen below) which authorizes the Council to investigate “city activities and processes concerning the following; demolition in and around the King Fuels site, demolition in and around the King Street site oversight and direction of the Code Department.”
Obvious names of
people in city employment include Planning Commissioner Bill Dunne, Assistant
Planner Andrew Kreshick, Fire Chief Tom Garrett, Deputy Mayor Pete Ryan and
possibly even Mayor Lou Rosamilia.
ROSAMILIA |
I will go into
what each could bring to the table, and possibly add more names in a later
post.
It seems to me
this ordinance should have been passed weeks ago when the Council first
questioned former City Engineer Russ Reeves and his assistant Barbara Tozzi. But,
they testified voluntarily at the first public hearing so it’s no big deal. The second hearing also featured testimony from those there voluntarily.
Now, though, as
the Council gets into the nitty-gritty, it can expect opposition so President
Rodney Wiltshire - who has thus far, outside of one misstep, handled the entire
thing with a unique mix of professionalism and political savvy - is going by
the book.
KOPKA |
Rosamilia
called it a “witch hunt,” which is akin to telling the Council to sit down and
rubber stamp my administration instead of doing your job and being a check and
balance.
Kopka said Wiltshire
has not listened to the entire Council regarding who to subpoena. Galuski said
he didn’t try to participate but he wasn’t asked to either.
My guess is,
once the ordinance passes tonight, Wiltshire will ask his eight colleagues for
a list of people they would like to question.
Why not? The more
the merrier and it certainly trumps the “he didn’t include me” argument.
In addition to the Council probe, according to the Times Union, there are no less than three federal agencies and a state agency looking into the projects.

Maybe those on the council that are opposing the investigation have a conflict of interest at hand. If so they better step up and disclose it right off the bat.why wouldn't the residents of Troy want everything checked and balanced? Too many hands in the pot, that's why,so many stones will be turned over so all the true City maggots will have their true colors revealed, that's why they are opposing.
ReplyDeleteI hope they all sing like canaries!
ReplyDeleteOFF TOPIC.......Does anybody know where Sheriff Jack Mahar is? Better yet, does anybody know if they keep records on his attendance at work for the last, oh I don't know, lets say the last six months? Just curious. and I wonder if this information is foilable.
ReplyDeleteYAAAWNN Gary, you lost and lost bad. If Jack doesn't run and they put up an honest monkey chances are you'll lose again, if he does run you've got no chance. Again.
DeleteI would vote for Gary just to hear more of those phone calls between him and his advisors.
DeleteMy name is not Gary and I repeat: Where has Jack Mahar been for the last few months ? Doesn't the county's "Good news spin machine" get concerned about this unstable sheriff ?
DeleteCouncilman Doherty in an embarrassing loud argument with a code employee today in city hall. Code officers will be subpoenaed. Therein lies the problem with Lou's administration. All employees outside of the clerk and some hacks work for the mayor. He allows people like Doherty to go in and harass them? Try to imagine the days of Dan Crawley or Jim Conroy when an unbalanced elected official decides he will discipline city employees? How do you think that encounter would have ended? 5th floor is a long drop.
ReplyDeletethank you Vito don't worry your days are numbered too you will be gone
DeleteAlmost walked right into the little spat, thought it was Eddie (hightops) Munster and good old Herman Munster flailing around.
DeleteThanks b dunne Love vito
DeleteVito if you dont' like the heat get out of the kitchen. Less time blogging and bitchingand more time working and maybe you could get decent entertainment and stop screwing up egg hunts.
DeleteLets compare what Vito does compared to ...let's say Kathleen Cassidy. There are concerts in Powers Park that are very well attended and the River Street festival which is huge. Last year Vito booked South Side Johnny who rocked a huge crowd that brought people to Troy and left with a positive view of our city. Vito is part time and may make 15K a year. Kathleen Cassidy, she handles?.She does? Her hours are? She's in the office? at 60K plus. This is worse than the last no-show Robert (the Doctor) Martiniano when it was uncovered the people he worked with stated in the press "I've never seen him". Rock on Vito.
DeleteA monkey could run those concerts. And they're well attended because of the revitalization of downtown Troy, which Vito and his "patrons" had nothing to do with. That's why they spew hate.
DeleteVito should concentrate on running an egg hunt where kids aren't trampled and don't leave crying without candy. Until he can master that basic feat he doesn't deserve $15K.
Whatever Kathleen Cassidy does, she gets paid less than the county funded Tutunjian Family Patronage Trust, and she does a lot more to earn it.
DeleteTutunjian Family Patronage Trust? Lets call it TFPT for short! Love it! He really is an entitled one, isn't he? So sad his great resume couldn't get him a real job, instead he is a politically appointed "clerk" for the legislature. Jimino should be ashamed, but she won't be. She owes too many for covering up for her hubby. Shameful Kathy. Shameful.
Delete@6:46 If Mr. Tutunjian makes 20K and Mrs. Tutunjian may make at the most 40K how much is that? Mrs. Cassidy makes 0ver 60K. (and NO one knows what she does). I gather basic math may be somewhat difficult for you but remember, ignorance can be corrected by education, unfortunately for you, stupid id forever.
DeleteHere is your basic math, both positions were created for the TFPT, both providing retirement funds as well as health benefits. So, if the positions weren't CREATED, how much would it cost taxpayers? $0 How much would it cost JIMINO? Everything.
DeleteWanna try again? Fran will make over $40K. Let's see if I can handle that math: 20 + over 40= over 60. Wow!
DeleteAt least Kathleen is voter approved, not a three time loser like Harry. The Troy voters have done everything but run Harry out on a rail, and yet Jimino forces him down taxpayers throats by awarding him patronage jobs.
All the Jimino and Tutunjian hate. Jimino runs unopposed because Dems are afraid of her and Tutunjian won two terms as mayor in a democrat city. Meanwhile democrat Lou is crashing and burning halfway through his first term and probably won't even finish his first term.Yeah great job.
DeleteIs George Rogers an unfunded mandate?
DeleteCrawley would have ate him and Conroy would have sold him to his brother.
ReplyDeleteLynn Kopka runs around worried about cat testicals while Casale sprinkles aspestos around south Troy like the sandman. She has to go.
ReplyDeleteCat women was always a diabolical opponent for Bat Man!
DeleteHas Harry paid his back taxes yet, now that both he and Mrs. Tutunjian are on the county dole? Maybe he could work it off by helping with all the asbestos remediation.
ReplyDeleteDave is a professional just like Russ he can blow smoke up any ones ass an he will tell you in a soft spoken voice.
ReplyDeleteOne thing about me is I don't play the game.
I was borne on a monday but it was not last monday so when will Dave realizes that every one is watching him now.
The Days of psychopaths running around doing the tax payers dirty will be coming to an abrupt halt soon.
The State is coming in soon also to find out just what code officers did what to whom.
"The State is coming in soon also to find out just what code officers did what to whom."
DeleteWell that sounds like it could be interesting
Imagine that. A code guy shutting down a gathering place operating without a CO. What was he thinking following and enforcing the law? The councilman was way out of line, Too bad we're stuck with this dumb for another year
DeleteHopefully you do a blog allowing the public to suggest questions for the council to ask.
ReplyDeleteQ. Has Cristo been paid for his work and who paid him? Was it Boyajian, the city, or the LDC?
Cristo testified that it was a "city job", but that Boyajian was paying for it. He declined to get more specific as to whether he had been paid yet and/or who actually paid him directly.
DeleteNot true. Cristo testified that it was a city job and that he worked directly for the city of Troy because they only have the attority to perform an emergency demolition or what they called an incident command. He also testified that Boyagian payed him in full only after the city of Troy put pressure on him to pay the bill. Then when Cristo was pressed for how much it cost he would not elaborate say "it was between him and Boyagian".
DeletePublic wants to know when they can sample the wine Vito pressed on Dave's washboard that turned them purple. Is the wine only available at all troy?
Delete@ 10:37 Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap?
DeleteWe are just fortunate that chief Garrett and his battalion were equipped with a list of city owned properties that they were to 'red X' in case of a fire and that would alert his firefighters not to enter. What's the problem here?
DeleteKing Street buildings weren't city owned properties.
DeleteFunny fitzy got his 80 grand payout the day after te fire next to the baptist church on 5 th. Was that an arson or did they find the cause?
Delete@ 4:01 King St. was privately owned and did not have a "red X" on it. Nor was it is half as bad of shape as some of these other city-owned properties with the 'red x' on it. The only thing it still has on it is a big green $$ on it.
DeleteThe Tom Wade Trio continue to be obstructionists, protecting the guilty at all costs. When will the citizens of Troy come first for these three, regardless of how it affects their boss?
ReplyDeleteOverall it was a good day at city hall today. Lou and Pete got to sit back and watch a real employee send Kook Bob Doherty on his way. They also got together with their advisors and relatives. Fitzy and Millington explained that crime is up due to Tedesco taking over and the only way to curb the crime is to pay them. Oh, and all those agencies supposedly looking into misdeeds in this administration is only a plot by Mirch and Harry. Both Fitz and Mark told Lou and Pete they are the best administration this city has ever had and everyone is raving about them. There was then a big family hug and a prayer.
ReplyDeleteVito sports a cane these days to ward off the evil bob Doherty. Will dave begin to use a cane that is the question
