  1. The police do a great job in tracking this person down and bringing him to justice and giving peace to the victims family and not one comment. Cop gets arrested and there's 140 comments in less than two days. Sad. Good Job TPD. Keep up the excellent work. The real residents of this city appreciate your efforts

  3. Because we expect more from our cops.

  4. You're right good job. Now close the other open homicides and give those families peace. Also, don't you guys get paid and paid handsomely to do this work?

    1. Check the cities budget. Only a handful of police officers with over 20 years on get "paid handsomely." The young officers who patrol our streets day and night are understaffed, underpaid, get shit on by the public and by certain members of the city council for doing their job. Hopefully the electoral body sees this and remembers this come next November...

    3. A- Rush job to arrest on a weak case and a murderer goes free.

      -or-

B- Gather enough evidence to make a solid case, put a murderer behind bars.

Pick the option you think would give the families more peace?

      Paid handsomely??? Idiot.

    4. Yes they are paid well. And UNLIMITED sick leave that's grossly abused.

    5. Paid well? They are 11k underpaid. And the unlimited sick leave has been averaged out to each officer taking 6 days off for sick time each year. Know what you're talking about before opening your mouth... Moron.

    6. Don't like it? Quit. You're replaceable.

    7. 845...six sick days a year? Don't think so. Actually I know that's not true. You guys abuse the sick time.

  5. I agree. The old saying about the "thankless job" is true. It is easy to throw barbs at the cops and while I'm not a big fan, I know I would not want to do that job.

    2. If they don't like the conditions, they should GTFO. Let someone else do the job. Plenty of people would step up and take it for the level of compensation and benefits offered. Stop whining.
