Troy officer resigns

Police Office Michael Johnson resigned from the force following an incident in Hudson.
In March, a woman Johnson and his brother were with was arrested for allegedly purchasing heroin. Johnson was driving the car.
He was placed on unpaid suspension for 30 days and Internal Affairs began an investigation into the matter.
In 2012, Johnson was stabbed in the leg while on patrol near the Martin Luther King apartment complex. He said he stopped to talk to a group of three males who were acting suspiciously. Johnson was stabbed in the leg before the men fled and he did discharge his weapon. The men were never apprehended and the circumstances surrounding the stabbing remain under question.
The three men in question were never apprehended and while Johnson did fire multiple times at the fleeing suspects, he did not hit any of the suspects or anything else.
The military veteran who was involved in combat in Iraq, never backed off his story, however, and since police brass could not disprove it, they had no choice but to believe it.
That year, he won the "Officer Assaulted Award" for the Jan. 4 incident.
It remains unclear why Johnson wasn’t arrested along with the woman in Hudson.

  2. There's only one thing worse than a cop who drives someone to a drug dealer that's a cop who tells a drug dealer to watch his back the troopers are on to you and your drug house. So that makes it one gone and one more to go.

    1. You know it's not just the police from troy that break the rules. There are quite a few city hall employees that got their jobs through financial means or favoritism but what makes it worse is that the elected officials and long time city employees..Bill Chamberlain...Bill Dunne that are the ones that hired these people. I'd like to know who the hell gave them the authority to hire whomever they choose. The City now seems to be going to age discrimination. Doesn't matter if you have 20-30-40 years working experience ,if you are not 20-30 and don't wear slutty nightclub attire you won't get hired

    4. All of these
People on the blog must of been bullied in highschool and that's why they hide behind anonymous and bully others so they can feel tough. Not one city employee would have the balls to say anything to the people they talk about. Nothing but cowards.

    7. 1023, you are who we are talking about. How about going to Mayor Lou and telling him the truth? Or are you going to leave it up to us? Tick tock tick tock

  4. A resignation is better than admitting guilt and/or getting fired. It should serve as a warning to the others in blue, clean up your act or get out. It's a shame when things like this tarnish the reputation of the decent ones.

  5. Breaking news, Vito (the consigliore) Ciccarelli with will face off against Bob (Moon Beam) Cox in a stage match at Powers park next Saturday night. Training Vito is Jim (paranoid) Gordon and Cox is handled by keyboard kingpin Ken (slaphappy) Zelewski. Proceeds will go to the Kevin McGrath (I do it for the kids) fund. Should be a beauty.

  6. I would Love to see that. It could be the opening act.
I hope Bobby will wear a costume and a cape. Vito can use his cane as a prop.

  8. Never mind that, how about Tom Wade's email commending Democrat Zephyr Teachout, who is running in the primary against Andrew Cuomo for her court victory today which is keeping her name on the September primary ballot. We will see if the governor is as vindictive on perceived disloyalty as Wade has been to his fellow dems here in Rensselar County.

    1. Lies...all lies. Zalewski and his puppet Wiltshire must be desperate to post something totally untrue. Then again, they have no loyalty to any concept, group, or person---unlike Wade---only to their runaway egos.
Zalewski and Wiltshire's all time favorite movie, Revenge of the Nerds,
will not be reenacted in Troy for them.

  9. Oh, swell. We need more people in power working against us. Maybe we can endorse Suozzi against Spitzer again as the fake Dems from North Greenbush did that time. We're through the looking glass here, people...Calvin Spaulding M.D. FACS. 53rd AiRescue (retired)
